Michael Vincent Ruocco


Michael Vincent Ruocco is an associate in the Los Angeles office of Bonne Bridges and a member of the firm’s Litigation & Trial Department. Michael's practice involves a range of insurance, healthcare, and public entity litigation, with particular emphasis on medical malpractice, civil rights, ADA, and personal injury. He also serves as local counsel on several copyright infringement cases in the United States District Court for the Central District of California.

Mr. Ruocco has substantial experience in all aspects of federal and state civil litigation, including drafting a number of successful dispositive motions, taking and defending depositions of parties and experts, navigating the discovery process, trial preparation, and trial itself. Michael also frequently drafts respondent briefs and argues before the California Court of Appeal, Second District.

Mr. Ruocco received his law degree from Pepperdine University School of Law in Malibu, California. While in law school, he served on the Journal of National Association of Administrative Law, which published his article Brand Name or Generic? A Case Note on Caraco Pharmaceutical Laboratories v. Novo Nordsick, 33 J.Nat'l Ass'n Admin. L. Judiciary 341 (2013) in June of 2013. The article focuses on the medical/pharmaceutical industry, specifically patent litigation between brand name originator companies and generic companies on method of use patents. Before joining the firm, Mr. Ruocco served a legal extern to the Honorable Socrates Peter Manoukian in the Superior Court of California, County of Santa Clara. He also attended the University of San Francisco, where he studied politics and graduated Cum Laude.
