The Firm

Bonne, Bridges, Mueller, O'Keefe & Nichols was founded in 1961 and is one of California's premier civil litigation defense firms. Bonne Bridges immediately began specializing in the representation of physicians and health care institutions involved in malpractice suits. Much of the firm's ongoing trial practice continues to be focused upon the health care industry; however, over the years, the firm has branched out into the representation of clients who are confronted with employment law claims, elder law & long term care, general liability, legal malpractice lawsuits, HMO liability, licensing board matters and civil appeals.

The firm is proud of its reputation as one of the most experienced civil trial firms in California. With an unrivaled depth of experience, the firm can boast of a depth of trial experience and expertise that is virtually unparalleled. The firm has 1 shareholder who is a member of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers (a group which selects its membership from the most experienced trial attorneys in the country), and a member of the American College of Trial Lawyers; and 2 attorneys who are members of the American Board of Trial Advocates. The firm maintains a success record of over 95 percent in the cases that reach a jury verdict conclusion.

In recent years, Bonne, Bridges, Mueller, O'Keefe & Nichols has also established an appellate department, an employment law department, an elder law & long-term care department and an administrative law department, in addition to its traditional representation of physicians and health care entities. Each of the firm's departments is staffed by attorneys who are intimately familiar with the law pertaining to their area of special interest and each has had extensive trial experience.

There is never a time when one or more of the firm's attorneys is not actively engaged in trial and/or in arbitration. The firm's 50-plus years of exposure to the trial bench and bar has resulted in a reputation for both exceptional competence and utmost integrity, as well as a reputation for attorneys who are willing to accept the challenges of a civil jury trial whenever a case cannot be favorably resolved on their client's behalf outside of litigation.

The wisdom we've gained from decades of experience enables us to quickly assess your unique situation and needs, then determine the best strategy, whether it's a meticulously negotiated settlement or a full-scale courtroom showdown. It's also given us the unparalleled ability to gauge the sentiments of jurors and the pulse of the communities in which our clients do business. Our wisdom gives you assurance that, when you choose us as your legal partner, you've made a wise choice.

To keep pace with the ever-changing dynamics of litigation, the firm has invested heavily in its technological infrastructure and, consequently, the firm can satisfy the technological requirements of virtually any client. However, what the firm prides itself on most is the quality and professionalism of its attorneys and the competence and collegiality of its support staff.
